Virgins, Nooch, and Threesomes...

Sooooo...
Virgins, nooch, and threesomes...

What happened to me this weekend?!! First of all, it was a gorgeous beautiful weekend here in NE, and I was soooo excited to be outside!

Let's start at the very beginning though..

Thursday night, salsa night! I loved it as usual.. there were 6 performances which were totally awesome, amazing, awe inspiring.. I taped all of them, which you will see soon! I promise! For dinner though, I had something new.... and pretty good!

It only had a 140 calories in one souffle (you know, it says that right on the box too..lol) but I think I could have made this much cheaper myself! It was $3.50!! But it was tasty and the perfect "light" meal for before a night of tail shaking!

So Friday was pretty bad, I felt like I got hit by a bus, I paced around the office, trying to be useful- I went home and crashed to pieces.

Today was good! I got enough sleep to make up for Thursday and was able to get up for roller skating with the girls... my niece was visiting and I conned the skating folks into letting her skate with the Peanut's class..

They did great, we had a good time!! It was an awesome workout for me too- haha. After we left skating we ran over to Target to pick up helmets for our afternoon plans... bike riding! I have a nice shiny purple bike from Christmas but NO HELMET! I found a pretty silver helmet at Target for $9.99. Safety first people!

Here I am looking like a complete dork. (Biz, note my arm placement lol)
I fell when I got onto this pup the first time though, I guess remembering how to ride a bike is easy to forget! It was a good ride, I got the hang of it pretty fast! Haha!
So when am I going to get to my post title? That's coming up!
I had the afternoon free of children and I was headed to the southern part of the state for a bit.. Wait, backstory.. my mother was having a dinner party and she made a ton of roasted veggies which I was super excited about.... until she sprinkled parm cheese all over them... then I remembered that a couple of other hot mamas swear by this "cheesy" substance called nutritional yeast aka "nooch". I've never seen it in any store in my local (within 5 mile) shopping area. And that was it- I knew I had to get my ass to Whole Foods. Thankfully, there is one in University Heights in
Providence, about 6 miles away from where I used to live. Wow, I felt kind of pathetic going there, like ummm.. I could have ridden my bike here??? (I can defend myself by saying I didn't have a bike until AFTER I moved out.)

I devirginized myself to Whole Foods today!! It was spectacular!!! I loved every second of it and spent WAYYYYYY too much money. If the Peanut was with me, I would have had to hand her over to pay for it...
Here are some of the goods..

I got my nooch!
I sprinkled it on my roasted veggies my mom set aside for me. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... HEAVEN.

So tasty...
There we go... no longer a Whole Foods virgin and I got some nooch. Sounds like I got some action!!!

Speaking of action... my threesome- Jacob and Edward. New Moon came out today and while I was in Target this morning I saw it and somehow it ended up in my cart!!!! I'm watching it right now. Swoon...

Hope you are ALL having a lovely weekend!!!! By the way, I updated my blog-roll, if you don't see yourself over there chew me out and I'll add you!

Howdy Folks

Well hi there!

How's it going for you all out there? It's going over here I guess, nothing too exciting on my end. Can you believe that I have no pictures for you? No, really I don't. I won a contest from another blogger and received my goods- and forgot to take a picture. I had some tasty soup yesterday- and forgot to take a picture of it. I found a GREAT new snack at the store last night, ate it this morning and forgot to take a picture of it. I went for a run at lunch today in the gorgeous sunshine, and yet- no snapshots.

Can you handle a wordy post?

I haven't been up to snuff commenting lately, end of quarter smack down at work is starting! So I get my few minutes to surf the web and then I hurry back to doing other things, so if it seems like I'm ignoring you, it's not intentional!

So to answer some of your questions/comments about the baby. YES. It was difficult to sit there and wonder if that could have been me. I was devasted after that happened last year and when I thought about telling my friends about it, I thought it might be ok to let the people close to me in on that grief with me. But then when my friend told us that she was pregnant, I zipped my lip and never said anything. They still don't know about it- and I intend to keep it that way. I held baby Brooklyn and wondered to myself, could this have been me? Fawning over my own son or daughter? Having the Peanut be a big sister already? I cried a little when I left her house, but I think I'm ok now. I'm happy for my friend, she is just how I pictured her as a mom.

To also talk a little bit more about the OAS, YES- OMG IT SUCKS! I hate it! I love fresh fruit!!! And I miss it dearly, but the lip burning and swelling and itchiness, I don't love, so I stay away. And did only Jessie get my joke about being my free pass for other things. I have a one track mind I guess! Haha!

Hopefully on Saturday I will have some time to actually get into the kitchen, but depending on how NICE it is out, I may be out bike riding or something, sooooooo that might not happen.

I will be catching up on everyone's lives ASAP! I swear! *hugs to all*

She's Alive!!!

Hey all! I'm indeed alive! Yes I am! Thank you so much for all your well wishes.. it was a rough couple of days because of my head, but I think I'm ok now.
I got some of these from the doctor- it's the ONLY thing that works on my head! Seriously, drug me up Scottie!

Sadly my appetite took a nose dive and I literally have been snacking my way through the whole weekend. It's not a great thing because I know I need to eat up to get better! I tried to eat a normal sized meal last night and ended up with tea in bed at 8pm because my stomach hurt so bad. I've had some good snacks though!

The Funky Monkey dried bananas are the only way I can eat bananas. The other day I mentioned that I can't eat alot of fresh fruit- here is the low-down on that. I have Oral Allergy Syndrome. You may think this is a get out of jail free card for "other things" (GASP!!!!! Did she say THAT?!) But really -it's more annoying than anything. Strawberries, grapes (red and green), blueberries, pears, pineapple, bananas, and raspberries, and apples with the skin still on all make my mouth burn and my lips tingle! Click on the link for the Wikepedia definition of OAS.. I try to avoid eating those foods if they are raw- cooked (or dried) is ok for me. It really sucks around holidays (pies.....) and in the summer, who doesn't love freshly sliced pineapple on a hot day? Or at any other time... ummmmm strawberries dipped in chocolate and whipped cream anyone?? I stick with the fruit that causes me NO issues! Cantaloupe. Watermelon. And clementines. Yeppppppp. That's it! Needless to say, this causes a lot of drama while food shopping!

Alright moving right along to the fun stuff! Two things from the weekend- I saw a baby and the Peanut kicked ass in a Pinewood Derby!
Remember when I went out with my friends and was going to tell them about my miscarriage and instead my friend announecd that she was pregnant??? (new readers, this was on my old blog) Well, here is that baby. Look at that face!

The Peanut is going to make a great big sister one of these days!
Moving along again!
Every year the Peanut's youth group at church does a Pinewood Derby. To you non- moms with sons in Boy Scouts (i.e. all my readers...) it's a car race! Here they carve out cars out of wooden blocks (a church member makes ALL of them after the kids design them on paper) and the kids paint them up and then race them down this fancy track.

The Peanut won ALL three of her heats her car was in, but it was not enough to place in the top three- her car was not fast enough! Sheesh! Darn rules! I would have let her win!

Here is her car- the green bunny!

Well that's all for right now I think! Tonight is dance class.. I'm signing up for a workshop in April- to learn more salsa.... whoooo! I'm getting back to work in this dreary awful rain. Seriously Mother Nature... send some sunshine to NE, it's been raining for days!

Mad Scientist

It's Wednesday. I am sick. And I am here at work, head pounding, every blink, head movement, arm movement, hurts like hell. My sinus infection is back with a vengeance. I'm convinced, I might be dying. Well, maybe not, but it's been going through my mind.

I don't have much for you because my appetite has gone to pot the last couple of days. A lot of tea and Advil have been consumed.

But I'll leave you with my mad scientist's massive spring science project. She is trying to figure out if "double-dipping" is really all that bad. So far it's not seeming like it!

I told her, if she didn't prove anything, at least she would have the best pictures : )

I'll try and come up with something another day.. maybe tomorrow I will feel motivated enough to make something. Welcome to all the new readers and followers. If you aren't reading and following, there might be something wrong with you too... lol just kidding. Enjoy the day- its sunny and warm in NE, I love it! Now if only I could get my butt up to get outside...

Mrs. Officer

Holy Moly! What a bum weekend I had!! Seriously, when I wasn't sleeping I was still sleeping it felt like. I figured I'd be on cloud 99 because of all the Diet Coke I drank to stay awake... maybe that contributed to my sleepiness? Any "coke" heads out there care to commiserate?

Well Saturday the Peanut had her first real roller skating lesson where they learned how to "fall" and stand up again and to balance and to stop. The three most important things to learn in skating I think! It was fun, she was wiped when we were done though! Yet strangely enough... I was the one who took a nap when we got home...

I also worked as well. Nothing says nice and sunny weather like a little overtime. But the way I figure my paycheck in two weeks will thank me, and my boss will too today.. sometime..

Thank you guys for the compliments on my pictures from the other night.. Mabel (the girl in the video dancing)- is seriously FIERCE! Amazing!! I want to be just like Mabel! We did have a blast and I can't wait to go again! Could you see all the pictures though??? I can't see them on my computer here at work.. but oh well!
Oh and Biz. My arms are not that fabulous. A few things factor into that- lighting, arm position, and arm position. I ALWAYS put my arm like that in pictures.. instantly makes your arms look great! My tip for taking pictures : )

Yesterday I went and saw my other half- he is doing great but we had the baby (Melo) with us and it was hard for him to see the little guy. Melo was a punk and whacked me with his head on my cheek- OUCH! Once I gave him back to his mommy he was ok.. I went home and I just felt like eating chocolate. I don't really keep chocolate in the house beyond Cocoa Krispies because its super dangerous for me. I could eat it all day long! But I felt the urge to eat it and so I searched for a decent splurge I could feel ok about.

Enter in "Illegal Mousse" I officially named it ok? I found this a couple of weeks ago on Love, Veggies, and Yoga and I bookmarked the page- KNOWING I would one day make it.

I made it! Key thing to note though- do not halve the number of avocados and keep the same amount of honey, agave, or whatever you use to sweeten it. This is seriously WAYYYYYYY too sweet to have a bunch all at once. I made about four cups and I brought 1/4 cup into work.. I'm trying to finish it right now. It's hard to do.. and that is hard for me to admit about chocolate. But the bottom line is- its delish and crazy easy to make.

(my portion this morning...)
Something else I'm currently loving are these little bits of strawberry love

..Not sure if you guys know this wacky bit of info on me, but I can't eat a lot of fresh fruit.. Has to be cooked or dried or it burns my mouth off. So to get my fruit I eat alot of fruit roll-ups.. Which are NOT fruit. lol Here are some lovely little roll ups that ARE fruit and good for you!!!!!

Well I'm off to get back to work now, I figured I could slack off for a few minutes because I cleaned up our work over the weekend, but time to get crackin' again. It's a beautiful day here in NE, so I hope wherever you are, there is MUCHO sunshine!!!

**edited to add, I now have an official "Blog Email" address.. if you guys ever need to get in touch with me or have a question, or want to harass me.. its pleasedonteatme54@gmail.com

No Pain No Glory

Well, I certainly didn't mean to leave half naked pictures of myself up for almost a whole week! Sorry about that! I'm really honestly so glad you guys like the tattoos! I am planning on getting another one pretty soon- the biggest and baddest one of them all.. haha- I'll be sure to post up those pictures too! So thank you for all the sweet comments about them!

So ... no pain no glory huh? Yea I have no idea what that is about, just that today I am feeling deader than dead right now! Jessica and I went out to An Tua Nua in Boston on Wednesday and I STILL haven't recovered from staying up so late! What the hell?? I'm not built for these parties I think! I haven't really cooked. I haven't really eaten anything impressive either! So what do you guys get from me? Just hot pictures of myself and Jessica! And a video of my teacher and one of the girls who performs with him... SO GOOD!

The video is a little dark- which I'm sorry about! But you can imagine how lovely it is when you can't see the moves.. they did AWESOME!

Here is Jessica and me.. aren't we cute??

Mabel and Albert dancing!

Well my friends, that's all you get for now! Hopefully tomorrow I can cook up something tasty!!! See you all soon!

Crazy Little Thing Called Ink

I have a love affair with something. It pulls me into seedy little joints on low lit streets. It makes me feel dangerous. It makes me feel mysterious and beautiful. When I do this, it feels like I'm high as a kite and nothing can stop me. What is it?

Ink baby. I have a love affair with the tattoo needle. Gross you think? Trashy you say? That might be on some (have you ever seen a 75 year old lady with a tattoo on her neck?) Mine are mostly covered by my clothes, so that in the event my old wrinkled bod ever has a saggy tattoo- C or my nurse in the nursing home are the only people seeing it : )

I got my first tattoo the day I turned 18, my twin and I getting the same Chinese symbol on our lower backs- three days later I went back and added onto it. Less then six months later I got the next one. Then the next one after that. I am running out of room and options here people! But I love the sensation of the needle- and I love expressing myself through art. I only have my bellybutton pierced- not even my ears done! I had them done when I was 9 and they got infected I got a cyst on my ear and they bled... I took the earrings out and never thought about getting them pierced again. Traumatizing for a 9 year old!!!

The only tattoo I ever got that hurt was the one on the back of my neck. I told the guy who did the tat that I preferred to give birth over that kind of pain again. Seriously!!! It was agony!

I'll try and do the count for you.. warning explicit pictures coming up.. but hey y'all wanted to know the details on them!!!

In this picture you can see a few of them... the big one on my side is my most recent one- it says, "Many waters can not quench love, nor can rivers drown it" in Italian. C picked this one out for me- I got it last summer after we had a tough summer emotionally. It was after my miscarriage and I remember him telling me that he loved me so much that he couldn't get enough and could never let me go. *sniff**sniff*. Well I looked up in the Bible (yea this is some holy artwork here!) and found the verse in Song of Solomon.. it describes us completely. When he comes home, he will be getting the same one right over his heart.

On my back are two Chinese symbols- one for Eternity, one for Fire. Eternal Fire... get it??? The word below is faith. My ex from many moons ago (before I dated the dancer five years ago) was a Marine and commited suicide. He was a good guy just so troubled and he had Semper Fi tattooed on his arm- so this was my rememberance to him- Faith- to make it through all the bad things.

This one is cute... but fading fast! I had a second love affair with tanning and needed to cover this and hardly ever did. I'm planning to get it re-colored one of these days! If you can't tell- its the "solar system" (GEEK ALERT!!!!!)

This one is a little blip of a thing. It looks more like a bug I think! It's the symbol for happiness...... I hope! It was supposed to bring me good luck. After all this time, I'm starting to think it didn't! haha! It looks sooooo random though, like what is that? A birthmark?! It's on my thigh btw.
The last one I have for you is this one..

This is cut off - I couldn't get a good enough angle there! My angel wings- for "Charlie's Angel" lol C and I are SUCH dorks.

Well there you have it folks, my body art! There is one more tat I could not angle myself to get a picture of- but its nonsense anyway- the only one I plan to COVER UP ASAP! with something else!

Hope everyone is having an awesome day so far, I'm going to be hardcore blog reading tonight, so get ready for some comments - some wild and crazy I'm kinda tired! hahaha!

******Edited to add the additional tattoo picture, I can't believe I forgot this one!!!! It gets the most compliments..
